Scott Weatherford Appointed General Counsel of Austin Young Chamber of Commerce

Jackson Walker partner Scott W. Weatherford has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce and will serve as General Counsel to the Chamber beginning January 1, 2022. As General Counsel, Scott will provide guidance to the board and its committees as the Austin Young Chamber works to build and strengthen the young professional workforce in Central Texas.

Scott is a trial attorney focused on trade secret, intellectual property, and technology-related commercial disputes. He advocates on behalf of Fortune 500 companies, start-ups, and local business owners in state courts, federal courts, arbitrations, and administrative agencies across the state. In 2018, the Texas Bar Foundation elected Scott to fellowship, and he currently serves on the nominating committee. He is a past board member of Central Texas Food Bank and Junior Achievement of Central Texas. He has been recognized as a “Rising Star” in Texas by Thomson Reuters’ Super Lawyers – Rising Stars since 2019 and as one of “Austin’s Top Attorneys” by Austin Monthly in 2021.
