Jackson Walker is pleased to announce the addition of Jeffrey Grable as a partner in the Fort Worth office. Joining the Trial & Appellate Litigation section, Jeff brings more than 25 years of experience representing energy companies and land and mineral owners in complex litigation, appellate cases, transactions, and regulatory matters.
Jeff began his legal career as an associate in Jackson Walker’s Fort Worth office before moving his practice to the largest firm in Fort Worth, where his late father Bob Grable was a founding partner. Jeff has developed a diverse energy litigation practice spanning the upstream, midstream, and service segments of the oil and gas industry. He has also gained prolific experience handling oil and gas-related transactions and contracts as well as representing clients in proceedings before the Railroad Commission of Texas and the Bureau of Land Management. Jeff has been honored by his peers with inclusion in Best Lawyers in America in the field of Energy Law, among other accolades recognizing his devotion to his clients and career results.
On his return to the firm, Jeff stated, “I am thrilled to rejoin Jackson Walker and work with the growing team in Fort Worth and across the state. Jackson Walker is a top-tier law firm when it comes to energy law, and it’s an exciting opportunity to work with such a well-rounded group and to be able to support my clients even more.”
“Jeff has a great track record of delivering positive outcomes for his clients over his years of practice in Tarrant County,” stated Jay K. Rutherford, managing partner of the Fort Worth office. “We are glad it was the right time for him to return to our firm.”
W. Ross Forbes, chair of Jackson Walker’s litigation practice, said, “Jeff is known for his strategic thinking and his ability to develop creative solutions to complex legal problems. He is a great fit for our growing team in Fort Worth and we are thrilled that he’s returned to the office where he started his legal career.”
Jeff obtained his J.D. from Texas Tech University and his B.A. from Vanderbilt University. He has practiced before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the courts of the State of Texas.
Since 1887, Jackson Walker has grown to become a full-service national firm serving clients from six Texas offices. With about 30% of the firm’s almost 500 attorneys practicing litigation, JW has one of the largest trial practices in the Southwest and has been identified among the top law firms “Most Feared in Litigation” by BTI Consulting Group in 2022 and 2023 for demonstrating a “fearless nature, urgency, relentlessness, and an aggressive strategy.”
