Biography

Allen Moon serves as senior counsel in Jackson Walker’s Dallas office, concentrating his practice on patent prosecution and intellectual property litigation. He brings a strong technical background in mechanical and life sciences technologies, with experience spanning aerospace, medical devices, oil field tools, and advanced engineering systems.

Allen’s practice includes preparing and prosecuting utility and design patent applications, managing inter partes review and reexamination proceedings, and advising on infringement and invalidity analyses. He is skilled at helping clients protect their innovations, resolve disputes, and develop strategies for portfolio growth and risk management.

Known for his meticulous attention to detail and practical problem-solving, Allen supports clients through all stages of the intellectual property lifecycle. He has represented clients in high-stakes patent litigation and has a track record of achieving favorable outcomes in both trial and settlement contexts.

  • On the trial team that represented the defendant in a patent infringement suit involving online-configuration software; after full trial, the jury found the Plaintiff’s patent invalid and that Plaintiff had misappropriated defendant’s trade secrets.
  • Represented plaintiff in a patent infringement suit relating to a proprietary pump design; case settled very favorably for plaintiff.
