Biography
Autumn R. Brehon is an associate in the Trial and Appellate section of Jackson Walker’s Houston office. Autumn’s practice focuses on wills, trusts, estates, and probate matters. Autumn also represents clients in all phases of estate independent and dependent administration, including contested probates, trust and will-based estate planning, and fiduciary litigation. She is experienced in drafting pleadings for estate administrations as well as muniments of title, small estate affidavits, and affidavits of heirship. Autumn also has experience handling creditor claims and preparing IRS Form 706 estate and generation-skipping transfer tax returns.
As a certified guardianship attorney by the State Bar of Texas, Autumn also focuses on guardianship estates and handles annual accountings.
Autumn regularly conducts hearings across multiple Texas counties and excels at formulating persuasive legal arguments for motions, briefs, and hearing presentations.
In law school, Autumn gained valuable experience as a law clerk across a range of legal areas, including international tax law, housing discrimination, criminal courts, immigration law, and contract law.
She serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston Law Center, where she teaches Legal Negotiations. Prior to her legal career, Autumn taught AP English literature & Composition in Houston’s Fifth Ward for six years.
