Biography
Collin Baker is a partner in the Corporate and Securities section of Jackson Walker’s Austin office. His practice focuses on representing institutional investors in connection with their investments in private equity funds and other alternative assets, including review and negotiation of investment documentation and side letters, co-investments and funds-of-one. His clients include university endowments, sovereign wealth funds, state pension plans, insurance companies, fund of funds and family offices. Collin also negotiates and advises in secondary transactions and assists clients in all stages of the secondary transaction process.
Additionally, Collin represents a diverse group of private companies and wealthy individuals in a broad array of general corporate matters including entity structuring and formation, offerings of debt and equity securities and real estate joint ventures.
Collin often serves as the outside general counsel for operating companies by providing advice on employment agreements, non-disclosure agreements, consulting and service agreements as well as other commercial agreements and previously worked as an oil and gas transactional attorney in Houston.
