Biography
John Beckworth is of counsel in the Jackson Walker Austin office. A Texas practitioner for over forty years, John offers extensive experience in the energy, litigation, and arbitration practices. He is an associate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and he is board certified in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
John practiced law in Houston from 1983-2013. He joined The University of Texas School of Law in Austin in 2013, where he served as an associate dean from 2013-2018, and he continues as a faculty member and lecturer in Oil and Gas law. He is engaged in a number of business and civic endeavors in Austin, Houston and throughout Texas.
