Biography
Laurel Malone advises employers, plan sponsors, and other fiduciaries in all aspects of employee-benefits and executive-compensation law.
Over two consecutive summers with Jackson Walker’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation group, she worked closely with partners to structure and implement qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, health and welfare benefit programs, and customized incentive-compensation arrangements. Her work included aiding Texas public pension plan clients with benefits and governance matters, including drafting comprehensive public-pension plan guides, reviewing qualified domestic relations orders, responding to Public Information Act requests, and legislative drafting. For private-sector clients, Laurel assisted Jackson Walker’s corporate team by analyzing benefit plan documents and 401(k) plan issues in connection with corporate transactions. She has also performed 401(k) plan corrections.
Prior to joining Jackson Walker, Laurel served as a family-law paralegal.
