Jackson Walker knows technology. We have always been a leader in finding innovative ways to utilize technology in order to serve our clients more efficiently, and at a lower cost. Today, Jackson Walker continues this tradition by deploying the latest products and tools available in information systems, communications, case and project management, electronic information processing, and courtroom technology.

  • Through browser-based technology, many of Jackson Walker's clients enjoy secure and collaborative access to case materials -- litigation files, evidence, and deposition transcripts and videos.
  • We recognize (and embrace) the digital nature of today's business environment. That's why we have implemented firm-wide systems necessary to convert paper documents into digital files and have combined our e-mail, faxing, and document management system into an integrated solution.
  • Jackson Walker lawyers work from anywhere at anytime using remote access tools such as Citrix, our virtual private network (VPN), secure access to Intranets, and Blackberry wireless e-mail devices. This extensive deployment of technology permits our clients to maintain direct and instantaneous contact with lawyers and staff servicing their legal matters.
  • The Firm maintains an extensive and redundant wide area network that allows for seamless integration between our offices. Litigation Technology

For years, Jackson Walker has invested significant resources in developing a comprehensive litigation technology infrastructure to better serve its clients. As a result, JW expertly guides clients through every phase of the litigation lifecycle. The cornerstone of JW's litigation technology strategy is Ringtail®, a robust, browser-based document and case management program that enables JW's trial lawyers to capably manage, categorize and analyze documents, pleadings, and discovery. It is accessible anywhere and at any time. Clients may also gain access to this valuable litigation tool via the Web, maximizing communication and understanding of the case. JW has adopted other technology tools that allow its trial attorneys to handle cases of any size and complexity, including LiveNote/Case Notebook, Sanction, Trial Director, IPRO, CaseMap, and TimeMap. JW's litigation technology initiative also includes the development or customization of a series of databases that support the resourceful handling of complex cases: fact-centric case management databases for multi-party/multi-case litigation; settlement tracking databases; claims management databases; extranet solutions for client data access; and extranet solutions to facilitate exchange of documents and information between parties.

Litigation Support

We have assembled a multi-city team of experienced analysts, project managers, e-discovery specialists, and trial graphics designers to assist our trial attorneys and clients. Guided by its Director of Litigation Support, our Litigation Support Group recommends and implements strategies for processing and managing case information, and deploys an arsenal of courtroom technology and support services. Our investment in this group reflects our commitment to offering our clients in-depth, expert, and cost effective management of complex litigation matters.

From the time a complaint is filed through settlement or trial, JW's Litigation Support Group helps automate case needs and, utilizing some of the latest advances in technology, provides Jackson Walker's clients and litigators with cost-effective and efficient case management and E-Discovery solutions. These services include assistance in early case assessment, in-house e-data processing, database planning and design, and document management. Our Trial Graphics Department works with trial attorneys and clients to create and display powerful courtroom presentations, and is equipped with the tools and experience to successfully coordinate, manage, and configure mock trials, focus groups, and offsite trials.
