Biography
Jeffrey M. Sone is a corporate transactional lawyer with more than 35 years of experience focusing on mergers and acquisitions, technology related transactions, corporate finance and entity governance. Jeffâs experience includes representation of public and private businesses, private equity and venture capital firms and family offices in industry verticals including: healthcare informatics, Software as a Service (SaaS), midstream energy, telecommunications, real estate development, oil and gas exploration, fresh and prepared food distribution and investment advisors.
In addition to his more traditional transactional practice, Jeff advises fiduciaries, including boards of directors, charitable boards and Trustees in connection with governance issues, fiduciary claims, special investigations and independent investigations of corporate or managerial misconduct.
Jeff is a 1978 graduate of Washington & Lee University and a 1981 graduate of The University of Texas School of Law. He is an active advocate for local and regional arts organizations and cultural institutions, serving on boards such as the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum Subcommittee of the Texas A&M University Board of Regents, the Advisory Board of the Harry Ransom Center at The University of Texas at Austin and the Texas Art Collectors Organization.
