Biography
Ivan De Leon is an attorney in the Trial & Appellate Litigation section at Jackson Walker’s Houston office with experience in high-stakes personal-injury and complex commercial litigation.
During law school, Ivan actively participated in the school’s advocacy program, serving as Co-Chair on the Board of Advocates and competing in Moot Court competitions as a brief writer and oral advocate. He was also a student teacher for Civil Procedure classes, a member of the South Texas Law Review, and graduated second in his class. Ivan worked with Jackson Walker’s Commercial Litigation group as a summer associate in 2023 and 2024.
Before joining Jackson Walker, Ivan honed his skills at a boutique Texas firm, where he handled a diverse personal-injury docket. His responsibilities included liability evaluations, damages assessments, strategic case planning, and drafting pleadings, written discovery, dispositive and pre-trial motions, demand packages, and detailed legal memoranda.
