Byron Egan Selected for “Who’s Who Legal: Corporate – M&A and Governance” Lawyers Guide

Jackson Walker partner Byron Egan was recently selected for inclusion in the Who’s Who Legal: Corporate — M&A and Governance 2015 international lawyers guide. The guide will be published in May and as a chapter of Who’s Who Legal 2016.

This is the first year The International Who’s Who of Corporate Governance Lawyers list and The International Who’s Who of M&A Lawyers list have been combined.

Previously, Byron has been consistently named to both the Corporate Governance guide and the International Who’s Who of M&A Lawyers list.

Who’s Who Legal seeks to identify the foremost legal practitioners in multiple areas of business law. Attorneys are chosen from research based on client and peer evaluation conducted by Who’s Who Legal to determine the most successful lawyers in the world. Byron is engaged in a corporate, partnership, securities, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and financing practice. Byron has extensive experience in business entity formation and governance matters, M&A, and financing transactions in a wide variety of industries including energy, financial, and technology. In addition to handling transactions, he advises boards of directors and their audit, compensation, and special committees with respect to fiduciary duty, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, special investigation, and other issues. Byron received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Texas. After law school, he served as a law clerk for Judge Irving L. Goldberg on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Byron is Senior Vice Chair and Chair of the Executive Council of the American Bar Association Mergers and Acquisitions Committee.
