Jackson Walker Appoints Greg Lambert as Chief Innovation Officer and Bill Finner as Chief Information Officer

Jackson Walker is pleased to announce two strategic leadership appointments designed to advance the Firm’s technology-driven client service. Greg Lambert, formerly Chief Knowledge Services Officer, has been named the Firm’s first Chief Innovation Officer (CINO) – a new role charged with accelerating the Firm’s adoption of next-generation legal technologies. In addition, longtime technology leader Bill Finner has been named Chief Information Officer (CIO), expanding his oversight of the Firm’s information systems and technology infrastructure.

Driving Innovation and Transformation

Greg LambertAs Chief Innovation Officer, Greg will lead the firm’s efforts to enhance legal service delivery through next-generation technologies such as generative AI, automation, and data-driven solutions. He will work closely with practice groups and administrative departments to identify opportunities for innovation, manage pilot programs, and oversee the rollout of new legal technologies firmwide.

Since joining Jackson Walker in 2012, Greg has led the Firm’s library, research, conflicts, and knowledge services teams, enabling attorneys to harness cutting-edge information resources. Nationally recognized for thought leadership in legal technology, he co-founded 3 Geeks and a Law Blog and The Geek in Review podcast, served as President of the American Association of Law Libraries, and is a Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management.

Strengthening Infrastructure and Continuity

Bill FinnerAs Chief Information Officer, Bill will provide leadership for the continued advancement of an innovative, strategic, and secure technology environment. He will continue to oversee the Firm’s data centers, cloud-hosted systems, networking, voice and video platforms, and cybersecurity strategy, while expanding his mandate to include enterprise architecture and long-term technology planning. He will also manage vendor relationships, negotiate technology contracts, and ensure robust disaster-recovery and business-continuity capabilities.

Bill joined Jackson Walker in 2009 and most recently served as Director of Networking & Technical Infrastructure. With nearly three decades of legal IT experience, he has built a reputation for delivering highly available, cost-effective solutions. His leadership has resulted in seamless system uptime and secure replication and backup strategies.
