Cirrus Logic Returns to IPO’s “Patent 300” for Securing 165 US Patents in 2022

March 8, 2023 | Client Results

Cirrus Logic, a leader in low-power, high-precision mixed-signal processing solutions, has been listed among the top 300 U.S.-issued patent assignees for 2022 by the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO). This is the third time the company was included in the annual list of innovators.

A Jackson Walker team including Brian K. Prewitt, Temple KellerAndrea Thai, and Tori Emery assisted in obtaining 126 of Cirrus Logic’s 165 patents issued in 2022. In fact, since 2012, the team has had a hand in helping Cirrus Logic secure 738 granted U.S. patents and 332 foreign patents.

“It is an honor to serve Cirrus Logic in protecting their cutting-edge innovations,” Brian said. “Cirrus Logic’s technology connects each of us through the gadgets we hold in our hands, and each patent signals a new, future innovation that will change the world.”

The Patent 300 list, produced by IPO in collaboration with Harrity Analytics, has been published for 40 consecutive years using data obtained from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Cirrus Logic has ranked among this list in 2020, 2021, and now 2023.

Headquartered in Austin, Cirrus Logic offers hardware and software solutions that create innovative user experiences for the world’s top mobile and consumer applications. The company has more than 4,270 issued and pending patents worldwide.
