Jackson Walker partners Stephanie Chandler and Mike Meskill will speak at the KPMG NYSE IPO Boot Camp in Dallas on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014.
This half–day workshop will provide participants with an overview of the current state of the capital market, things to consider when preparing for an IPO, which exchange to choose, legal considerations, how to properly report, JOBS Act implications, and how to become SOX ready.
The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at KPMG’s Dallas office, which is located at 717 North Harwood Street, Suite 3100.
Ms. Chandler’s practice emphasizes securities transactions, reporting and compliance; mergers and acquisitions; technology licensing and commercialization, and general corporate work. She assists clients with both the formation of organizations, public and private offering of securities, governance issues and shareholder proxy contests, as well as Securities Act and Exchange Act compliance matters. Her track record of working with clients from the earliest stages of their development through significant liquidity events, typically in the role of outside general counsel managing the legal issues related to each growth stage, allows her to bring a uniquely broad-based perspective to the matters she handles. Ms. Chandler received her B.S.B.A. from the University of Nebraska in Finance and her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
Mr. Meskill’s practice focuses on securities, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance matters, and general corporate law. Mr. Meskill represents buyers and sellers in public and private M&A transactions, issuers and underwriters in public and private debt and equity offerings, and companies and special board committees in corporate governance matters. Mr. Meskill is a certified public accountant in the State of Texas. Mr. Meskill was an auditor in the audit department of KPMG LLP from 1989 to 1993, where he was the “in–charge” auditor on numerous public and private company audit engagements. Mr. Meskill received his B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Texas and his J.D., cum laude, from Southern Methodist University School of Law.
