During the 10th Annual False Claims and Qui Tam Trial Institute, Jackson Walker partner Laura Cordova will moderate a panel discussing “Litigation Challenges in Procurement Fraud Matters.” Presented by the American Bar Association Health Law Section, the conference will gather attendees at InterContinental Miami on April 25-27, 2022, for a look at a mock False Claims Act jury trial and CLE sessions concerning investigations and litigation.
The panel, held at 1:45 p.m. on April 25, will also include Art Coulter (U.S. Department of Justice Fraud Section), Andy Liu (Nichols Liu), and John R. Thomas Jr. (Hafemann Magee Thomas) as they address qui tam cases involving procurement fraud. During the session, they will cover what separates procurement fraud cases from other qui tam cases, unique challenges in procurement fraud cases, the types of allegations that interest the government, and special defenses available in these cases.
