Jack Skaggs Appointed to the Texas Healthcare Association Legal Advisory Committee

The committee provides recommendations to the THCA Executive Committee and Board through the active participation of volunteer lawyers as well as non-lawyer providers interested in promoting and improving the long term care industry.

The mission of the THCA is to unite, represent, and support professionals who strive to improve the delivery, quality, and integrity of long term healthcare services.

Jack Skaggs practices in the area of general commercial litigation, with an emphasis on healthcare law, insurance defense, real estate litigation, administrative law, and creditors’ rights. He represents many healthcare providers in administrative appeals and related litigation. Specifically, he assists many long-term care, assisted living, and home health providers on appeals from enforcement actions imposed by the Department of Aging and Disability Services and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Jack Skaggs received his B.A. degree from Austin College and his J.D. degree, with honors, from Baylor University. At Baylor Law School, Jack Skaggs served as Technical Editor on the Baylor Law Review and was a member of the Baylor Mock Trial team.
