Jackson Walker was honored for its 50 years of membership in the Austin Chamber of Commerce. The Firm was among only seven recipients of the prestigious 50-year membership award, which was presented during a reception for the Chamber’s Chairman’s and President’s Advisory Board Members on February 17, 2015, at the Capital Grille in Austin. Jackson Walker partners Brandon Janes and Brad Knippa accepted the award on Jackson Walker’s behalf.

Jackson Walker’s roots in Austin stretch back more than 75 years through its merger with Small, Craig and Werkenthin. One of the city’s oldest law firms, Small, Craig and Werkenthin played a key role in the economic growth of Texas through the development of some of the most important legislation and regulations affecting industries throughout the state. Ed Small, a descendant of one of the firm’s founders, continues to practice regulatory and legislative law as a partner with Jackson Walker.

Today, Jackson Walker is the largest law firm in Austin with approximately 90 attorneys providing high-quality legal services to industries as diverse as agriculture, entertainment, high-tech, manufacturing, software development, healthcare and banking. The firm’s Austin office continues to maintain a robust practice before the Legislature and the regulatory agencies of Texas, as well as the Supreme Court of Texas. The firm’s Austin lawyers also serve as leaders in many of the civic, charitable and political organizations in the area, and have extensive relationships with the Austin community, and business and political leaders.
