Jackson Walker has been named one of only three finalists for the 2015 Thomas L. Sager Award for the South Region. The Firm received the prestigious award in 2014, after being named a finalist in 2013 and 2012.

The Sager Award is presented each year by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association to law firms that have demonstrated sustained commitment to improve the hiring, retention and promotion of minority attorneys. The rigorous selection process takes into account both the Firm’s demographic profile and efforts in the areas of recruiting, retention, mentoring, promotion, pipeline initiatives, LGBT initiatives, women’s initiatives, work-life balance, collaborative efforts with community and bar associations, and innovative practices that result in sustainable efforts to increase diversity.

In addition to being honored as a past winner and multiyear finalist for the 2014 Sager Award, Jackson Walker has received numerous accolades for its Diversity initiatives, including the following:

  • For the fourth straight year, Jackson Walker had the second best ranking among Texas firms in American Lawyer‘s Diversity Scorecard, an annual survey of the percentage of minority attorneys and partners at the nation’s largest law firms
  • Also for the fourth consecutive year, Jackson Walker was among a select group of law firms that received an “A” grade for their exceptional minority recruitment, hiring, and retention efforts in the Austin Law Firm Diversity Report Card
  • In 2015, Jackson Walker was named among the “100 Best Law Firms for Minority Attorneys” and “100 Best Law Firms for Female Attorneys” by Law360
  • Jackson Walker was named a corporate winner of the 2015 YW Mentors and Allies Award by the YWCA of Metropolitan Dallas, based on its significant contributions to encouraging, coaching, and mentoring women in the workplace or community
