Globalaw has named Jackson Walker L.L.P. its 2014 Firm of the Year for the Americas. The award was presented during Globalaw’s annual meeting, which took place Nov. 5-8, 2014, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. One firm each from three global regions – the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific – received the award in recognition of the firms’ significant contributions in bringing together member firms’ managing directors, lawyers and staff, and in some cases, clients.

Established in 1994, Globalaw is one of the world’s leading law firm networks. It has grown to include over 100 independent law firms with approximately 4,500 lawyers practicing in over 80 countries worldwide and has developed a reputation as the go-to network for businesses seeking to do business globally.

Jackson Walker is a founding member of Globalaw and has been extensively involved with the organization from the start. Earlier in 2014, the firm hosted Globalaw’s first-ever Managing Partner Forum in Dallas, which drew managing partners from a number of states in America, as well as from Canada and even Honolulu. Jackson Walker partner Bryan Birkeland previously served as president of Globalaw and currently serves as a member of its executive committee.
