Jackson Walker Represents Owners of Knox Oil Field Supply in Acquisition by Applied Industrial Technologies

Jackson Walker successfully represented the owners of Knox Oil Field Supply, Inc. in the company’s recent acquisition by Applied Industrial Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: AIT). The deal was signed and announced in May and closed on July 1, 2014, upon expiration of the Hart–Scott–Rodino waiting period and satisfaction of certain other customary conditions.

San Angelo–based Knox Oil Field Supply, Inc. is a family owned and operated distributor of oilfield supplies and related services with 15 locations in Texas and one in New Mexico. The company employs 140 people and has annual sales of more than $100 million. Applied Industrial Technologies, Inc. is a leading industrial distributor based in Cleveland, Ohio. The combination provides an excellent strategic fit that will enable both companies to expand their business opportunities.
