The firm is among 35 founding companies that will participate in the program during the school’s inaugural 2014-15 academic year.

“Cristo Rey Dallas is proud to call Jackson Walker a founding Corporate Work Study Program Partner,” said program director Gunnar Rawlings. “JW’s commitment to hiring a team of CRD student workers to staff an entry level position in their office allows these students to earn their private, prep school education while gaining valuable work experience that will benefit them now and in years to come.”

Cristo Rey Dallas is a private, independent Catholic high school located in the Pleasant Grove area of Southeast Dallas. The school provides a proven, revolutionary model of college-preparatory high school curriculum to students from some of the most economically challenged families in Dallas. Cristo Rey Dallas will officially open its doors in August and is open to students of all religious denominations. About 130 students are projected for the inaugural class.

“We are honored to support the groundbreaking work that Cristo Rey is doing in the Dallas community,” said David Moran, managing partner of Jackson Walker’s Dallas office. “We look forward to welcoming the students who will work in our office during the coming school year and hope to serve as partners in their success.”
