Jesse S. Lotay Accepted to Leadership Lab Class of 2014

Jackson Walker associate Jesse S. Lotay was recently accepted to the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Lab Class of 2014. His participation in the nine-month program begins February 2014.

Leadership Lab is the North San Antonio Chamber’s award-winning and innovative approach to leadership development and workforce preparedness targeted to San Antonio’s up-and-coming business leaders from the corporate, non-profit, and small business environments. The nine-month training program is based on the most current thinking, research, and best practices in leadership development focusing on five core elements including: professional performance, leadership, management, community service, and self-awareness.

Jesse is an associate in Jackson Walker’s Energy, Commodities & Derivatives, and Corporate & Securities Practices. His practice concentrates in the area of energy transactions where he advises clients on exploration and production activities, and the acquisition and sale of crude storage, pipeline, refinery, terminal, transportation, and other energy infrastructure assets. He also concentrates in the area of energy financing where he advises clients on energy-based derivatives, commodities markets, trading activities, assessing and minimizing credit risk across transactions, various reporting and clearing obligations under the Dodd-Frank Act, and trading physical and financial products under ISDA Master Agreements and related ancillary documents. His practice includes experience in asset-based and commercial lending, capital markets, securitization, and structured finance.

Jesse received his B.S. from Trinity University and his J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law, where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Tulsa Law Review. He also received a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Houston where he concentrated in the areas of energy, environment, and natural resources.
