Jackson Walker partner Julia W. Mann will serve as the commencement speaker for the St. Mary’s University School of Law Spring 2024 Graduation Ceremony, taking place on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

The commencement coincides with Julia’s 30th anniversary of her graduation from St. Mary’s. Julia maintains an active connection with St. Mary’s Law, now serving as a new member to the law school’s Board of Visitors. Over the years, she has contributed as a guest lecturer and was recently featured in an article published by St. Mary’s University Gold & Blue, reflecting on her legal journey that commenced with humble beginnings in her father’s law office.

Julia is the managing partner of Jackson Walker’s San Antonio office and a member of the firm’s Management, Compensation, Recruiting, and Statewide Business Development committees. She is an experienced litigator focused on contractual disputes, professional liability claims, actions to protect companies’ proprietary information, and business torts such as fraud, negligent misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, and tortious interference. The depth and breadth of Julia’s practice include leading Texas industries such as energy, agriculture, technology, insurance, and financial institutions. In recognition of her practice, Julia has been recognized among Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business since 2021, The Best Lawyers in America since 2018, and as a Texas Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters since 2012.
