Jonathan Lass to Serve on Planning Committee at UT School of Law Technology Law Conference; Jennifer Wertz to Present on “Technology-Focused Bankruptcy & Insolvency”

Jackson Walker partner Jonathan E. Lass served on the planning committee and as a presiding officer for The University of Texas School of Law’s 37th Annual Technology Law Conference. The conference will feature nationally recognized leaders in technology discussing industry issues, with topics ranging from technology licensing to data privacy and emerging technology.

Additionally, Jackson Walker partner Jennifer F. Wertz will be a presenter on Thursday, May 23. Her presentation, titled “A Technology-Focused Introduction to Bankruptcy & Insolvency,” will offer valuable insights on key bankruptcy and insolvency concepts, covering protectionist and opportunistic strategies. Jackson Walker associate Beau Butler co-authored the article featured in the course materials.

Meet Jonathan

Jonathan E. Lass, an Austin-based partner at Jackson Walker, specializes in technology outsourcing and mergers and acquisitions transactions. He represents government agencies acquiring mission-critical technology and advises private sector clients on strategic acquisitions, purchase and sale of businesses and assets, and technology procurement.

Meet Jennifer

Jennifer F. Wertz is a partner in the Austin office’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring, & Recovery practice. She represents a variety of stakeholders involved in bankruptcy proceedings and related complex litigation. Jennifer also represents entities in complex corporate reorganization and fiduciary litigation, with a focus on workouts and reorganization. She is board certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
