Diana Perez Gomez and Cheryl Camin Murray Appointed to State Bar of Texas Board of Directors and Committees

Jackson Walker is pleased to announce that Diana Pérez Gomez and Cheryl Camin Murray have been elected to serve on the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors, and appointed to several key committees.

Diana Pérez Gomez will serve as a Director for District 4, Place 3, representing Harris County through 2027. In this leadership role, Diana will bring her extensive experience and dedication to the Board of Directors, helping to shape the future of the legal profession in Texas.

In addition to her role on the Board, Diana will Chair the Legislative Policy Committee, and will serve on the Executive Committee and the Nominations and Elections Committee. She will also act as Board Advisor to the Labor & Employment Law Section and the Pattern Jury Charge – Business, Consumer, Insurance & Employment Committee.

Cheryl Camin Murray will serve as a Director for District 6, Place 1, representing Dallas County until 2027. Cheryl’s leadership and vision will be instrumental in advancing the mission of the State Bar of Texas.

Alongside her Board responsibilities, Cheryl will serve on the Discipline & Client Attorney Assistance Committee and the Nominations and Elections Committee. She will also be Board Advisor to the Health Law Section and the Minimum Continuing Legal Education Committee.

Meet Diana

Diana Pérez Gomez is a partner in the Labor & Employment practice, representing businesses in complex employment disputes in state and federal courts. She provides comprehensive legal services, including counseling, investigations, EEO training, policy drafting, and employment agreement negotiations. Diana also defends clients in administrative proceedings and litigates cases involving non-competes, discrimination, retaliation, FLSA, and ERISA claims. Beyond litigation, she advises employers on compliance and best practices to minimize legal risks.

Cheryl Camin Murray is a partner in Jackson Walker’s Healthcare & Life Sciences section in Dallas. With advanced degrees in law and public health, Cheryl advises hospitals, dental practices, physician groups, and long-term care organizations on regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters. She is experienced in licensing, AI regulatory compliance, and liability issues, and is well-versed in the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, HIPAA, and HITECH. Cheryl provides practical solutions to help clients navigate complex healthcare regulations.
