Jackson Walker advised Sensei Ag Holdings, Inc., the agtech company backed by Larry Ellison, Chairman and Chief Technology Officer of Oracle Corp., in its acquisition of approximately 25 acres in Lockhart, Texas.
Located at 1205 Reed Drive, the property formerly served as the headquarters and flagship greenhouse of robotics farming company Iron Ox Inc. The site includes a 283,000-square-foot facility. The transaction, completed on September 8, 2025, was acquired from Evergen Equity 30 LP.
Founded in 2018 by Larry Ellison and Dr. David Agus, Sensei Farms integrates cutting-edge technology with sustainable agriculture. The company operates greenhouse facilities in Lanai, Hawaii, and Ontario, Canada, supplying produce across Hawaii, the U.S. Northeast, and Canada. The Lockhart site—about 30 miles southeast of Austin—will become Sensei’s newest greenhouse facility, advancing its mission to innovate in food production and conservation.
“The Lockhart property offers a unique opportunity to advance sustainable agriculture and innovation in Central Texas,” said Jackson Walker partner David W. Parker, who led the transaction with assistance from associate Maggie Lu. “We’re excited to see how Sensei Farms continues to shape the future of food production.”
“David and his team were outstanding,” said Deborah Fontaine, Vice President and Corporate Counsel for Sensei Ag. “The transaction was complex, but they guided us through every step and got us across the finish line smoothly.”
