Scott Wheatley Becomes Master Member of the Eldon B. Mahon Inn of Court

Fort Worth partner Scott Wheatley has been nominated to serve as a Master of the Elden B. Mahon Inn of Court. Scott will serve a five year term, ending in 2021.

Scott’s nomination as a Master of the Mahon Inn of Court is a testament to the respect his peers have for him. The Inn, which is chartered by and affiliated with the American Inns of Court,  is comprised of judges, lawyers, law professors and law students and is designed to improve the skills, ethics and professionalism of the bench and bar.

Scott A. Wheatley has 16 years of experience as lead counsel in jury trials and bench trials for real estate, title insurance, and financial institution clients. To date, he has served as lead trial counsel in more than 60 land title and real property lawsuits, successfully defending financial institutions, real property owners, and title insurers in those matters. Scott has successfully defended financial institutions and financial services companies against nationwide consumer class actions. He also has tried and won significant jury trials involving corporate control disputes, partnership disputes, massive fraud schemes, and consumer claims.
