Paul C. Watler recently appeared on “Perspectives Matter: A McCuistion Program,” hosted by Jim Falk, alongside fellow guest Jeremi Suri, Ph.D., a history professor at the University of Texas. During the program they discussed free speech and university neutrality, particularly in light of the recent controversies over the war in Gaza.

Paul examined Harvard’s response to campus protests, including suspensions, dialogue initiatives, and the implementation of a new political neutrality policy. He also explained the differences in how free speech rights are applied in public vs. private universities, and identified situations where free speech principles do not apply.
