Wayne Malecha and Albon Head Featured in “Law360” Article on Sale of W.T. Waggoner Ranch

February 26, 2016 | Attorney News

“This was truly a case of first impression, a deal of first impression,” Wayne Malecha said. “There were so many times where we’d all look at each other and say, ‘We’ve never done this,'” he added. “No one had ever sold a ranch this large or that had been in a family this long. There was very little that was involved in this matter that was not unique.”

Throughout the process of getting the ranch sold, Wayne Malecha and Albon Head ran into many challenges. One hurdle was the fact that since the ranch had never been sold, it had never been surveyed, which was crucial for the sale of the property. “It took several months…and several crews. It’s almost 800 square miles,” Albon Head said.

“For a property like this that had never been sold, it was a monumental task to get it ready for marketing,” Wayne Malecha said.
