William Jenkins, Scott Wheatley and Saba Syed Speak at ACC Ethics CLE

Jackson Walker attorneys William Jenkins, Scott Wheatley, and Saba Syed gave a CLE presentation for the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) on Nov. 4, 2014, in Fort Worth. The presentation was titled “Avoiding Ethical Pitfalls As In-House Counsel” and provided 1.5 hours of Texas Ethics CLE credit. The DFW Chapter of the ACC is actively involved in providing timely and relevant training and development, networking, pro bono and community events.

Mr. Jenkins has a state and national trial and appellate practice. Mr. Jenkins has handled many significant cases, including successfully defending several shareholder suits related to the merger of a Texas real estate investment trust with a New York investment company. His practice focuses on disputes related to mergers and acquisitions, internal business disputes, and real estate and construction matters.

Mr. Wheatley has 14 years of experience as lead counsel in jury trials and bench trials for real estate, title insurance, and financial institution clients. To date, he has served as lead trial counsel in more than 50 land title and real property lawsuits, successfully defending financial institutions, real property owners, and title insurers in those matters.

Ms. Syed has experience in a wide range of litigation matters and has demonstrated high-level responsibility working directly with clients and assisting with trial preparation and strategy. She has developed particular experience in the areas of real estate litigation; title insurance disputes; collections matters, including garnishment actions and default judgments; and labor and employment matters.
