Biography
Thomas Perry is an attorney in the Real Estate practice of Jackson Walker’s Austin office. He represents investors, lenders, sponsors, borrowers, and other market participants in complex real estate, finance, corporate, and transactional matters across domestic and international markets.
Thomas has experience handling traditional and alternative debt and equity financings by financial institutions, insurance companies, private credit and equity funds, sovereign wealth, U.S. state and federal government agencies and other investors, single-asset and portfolio mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, public and private capital markets transactions, and other corporate transactions involving assets and participants in the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East. His work includes advising on deal structure, diligence, documentation, and execution for transactions involving investors, lenders, sponsors, and borrowers.
In addition to his real estate and financing work, Thomas emphasizes his pro bono practice as a way to give back to the community. Thomas has assisted with various litigation and transactional matters on a pro bono basis, including civil rights litigation in the Northern District of Mississippi, an amicus brief in the Fifth Circuit on voting rights, and reviewing non-profit charters and bylaws, among other matters.
