Jackson Walker proudly announces that Austin partner Michelle Kwan will be presented with the 2026 Corporate/Transactional Attorney Award at the Travis County Women Lawyers’ Foundation (TCWLF) and Travis County Women Lawyers’ Association (TCWLA) Annual Grants & Awards Luncheon. The event will take place on Friday, April 24, at the Fairmont Hotel in Austin, Texas.

Jackson Walker is a longtime supporter of the Travis County Women Lawyers’ Association, which was founded in 1977. Part of its mission is to recognize and celebrate the contributions of the women members of the local bar.

Michelle, a partner in the Corporate & Securities practice of Jackson Walker’s Austin office, is an experienced emerging growth and venture capital attorney whose practice centers on complex corporate and securities matters, including debt and equity financings, private placements, and mergers and acquisitions. She regularly counsels corporate venture capital arms, strategic investors, investment funds, issuers, family offices, and other venture capital participants on investments, divestments, and a wide range of portfolio company matters, including governance, exit readiness, and strategic partnerships. Her work spans numerous industries, including fintech, artificial intelligence, energy and renewables, insurtech, robotics, biotechnology, consumer products, and other disruptive technologies.

Outside of her legal work, Michelle is a dedicated member of many local organizations, including the National Asian Pacific Bar Association, Austin Bar Association, Asian Pacific Interest Section of the State Bar of Texas, Austin Asian American Bar Association, Mother Attorneys Mentoring Association of Austin, and the Penn and Wharton Alumni Association of Austin.  Michelle is a champion for the next generation of women attorneys, offering guidance and mentorship to students and young attorneys as they navigate the challenges of building rewarding and sustainable legal careers.
