Allison Allman Appointed to Texas State Bar Professional Ethics Committee

Allison AllmanJackson Walker is pleased to announce that Allison Allman has been appointed by the Texas Supreme Court to a three-year term on the Professional Ethics Committee for the State Bar of Texas.

The Professional Ethics Committee (“PEC”) comprises nine members of the State Bar of Texas who are tasked with issuing ethics opinions in response to ethics-related questions. Recent opinions have covered issues concerning settlement agreements and practice restrictions, use of generative AI in legal practice, and confidentiality and client information. As a member of the PEC, Allison will contribute to a rigorous process involving research, analysis, drafting, debate, and editing to ensure clarity and guidance on ethical standards for Texas lawyers.

Based in Jackson Walker’s Fort Worth office, Allison practices in the Trial & Appellate Litigation section. She is an accomplished commercial litigator with experience in both state and federal courts, handling all phases of litigation, from pretrial counseling and discovery to dispositive motions, negotiations, and appeals.

Before joining Jackson Walker, Allison clerked for the Honorable Reed O’Connor of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas and the Honorable Lawrence VanDyke of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Her professional excellence has earned recognition among the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch since 2021 and as a “Texas Rising Star” by Thomson Reuters’ Super Lawyers since 2024.
