Jackson Walker proudly congratulates Houston Managing Partner S. Priya Coffey on being named among the Top 100 Women in Business in recognition of her contributions to the growth of our Firm, her mentorship of the next generation of women leaders in the legal profession, and her commitment to corporate citizenship. Priya will be recognized with the award during the National Women’s Conference held on March 29-31, 2022.

Presented by the National Women’s Council, an affiliate of the National Diversity Council, the National Women’s Conference features educational sessions and networking opportunities designed to help women explore their role as a game changer within their organization.

Before becoming managing partner, Priya co-chaired the Houston office’s law school hiring committee. In that role, she helped increase the number of women and diverse attorneys within the committee, which made an incredible difference in recruiting almost immediately. Since her appointment in 2020 as the Houston managing partner, Priya remains heavily involved in the Firm’s recruiting efforts and makes a point of meeting all summer associates and incoming attorneys face-to-face.

“Building relationships with our talented younger attorneys is an important part of attracting, retaining, and promoting the next generation,” Priya noted. “At the firmwide level, my involvement on the management and compensation committees allows me to have a voice on policies that impact the Firm’s ability to attract and retain younger attorneys.”

Outside of Jackson Walker, Priya serves on the Board of Directors of Recipe for Success and the University of Chicago’s Houston Regional Council. She is also a member of the South Asian Bar Association of Houston, the Houston chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women, and The Junior League of Houston, Inc.

In honor of her leadership excellence and commitment to the community, the Texas Diversity Council recognized Priya among the Top 50 Women Lawyers of Houston in 2017.
