Amanda is a distinguished commercial litigator who represents clients across various industries in both state and federal courts as well as in arbitration proceedings. She has achieved success before juries, judges, arbitrators, and appellate courts across Texas, as well as the Texas Supreme Court and the United States Supreme Court. She has been essential in securing favorable results for clients on a range of matters, including general commercial litigation, collection cases, personal injury cases, probate litigation, oil and gas issues, contract disputes, environmental litigation, First Amendment and media litigation, Section 1983 claims, and governmental immunity cases on behalf of cities and counties.
Amanda has received numerous accolades in the area of commercial litigation, including recognition as one of San Antonio’s Best Lawyers by S.A. Scene, acknowledgment as an up-and-coming attorney in San Antonio by Chambers USA, “One to Watch” by Best Lawyers, and a “Texas Rising Star” by Thomson Reuters’ Super Lawyers. Furthermore, she has been honored twice as part of the “Up-and-Coming 100: Texas Rising Stars” and “Up-and-Coming 50: Women Texas Rising Stars” lists by Super Lawyers.
Outside of her practice, Amanda demonstrates exemplary leadership and commitment to community service. She is a member of Leadership San Antonio Class 47 and is currently serving on the Steering Committee for Leadership San Antonio Class 48. She served as the 99th President of the Junior League of San Antonio (JLSA), where she provided strategic direction to a 19-member board of directors and led nearly 1,000 members and sustainers in spearheading the league’s initiatives focused on community engagement, leadership development, and fundraising endeavors as well as planning programming for recognition of JLSA’s centennial. Additionally, Amanda has dedicated nine years to serving on the Board of Directors of the North East Education Foundation (NEEF), assuming roles such as Chair of the Governance and Nominating Committees in 2020 and Chair of the Starlight Gala in 2018 and 2019. She is a previous board member of the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association and Foundation, where she served as Autumn Affair co-chair in 2016 and Treasurer in 2019. Moreover, she served as president of the Defense Counsel of San Antonio in 2016 and a founding member of the Hemisfair Coalition.
