Austin partner Emilio B. Nicolas has been selected to serve as a Co-Chair of the Copyrights Subcommittee for the American Bar Association Intellectual Property Litigation Committee. Previously, Emilio served as a Co-Chair of the Regional CLE Subcommittee since 2014.
The Intellectual Property Litigation Committee is one of the largest and most active substantive law committees in the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation. The IP Litigation Committee’s leadership comprises experienced litigators from across the nation who are working to keep IP litigators fully up-to-date in all areas relating to patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, the internet, and related unfair competition cases.
Emilio’s practice includes entertainment, media, technology, and intellectual property litigation and transactional work, with a particular focus on copyright, trademark, and privacy law. He is Co-Chair of Jackson Walker’s Entertainment, Digital, & Sports group, a member and life fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, a member of the ABA IP Litigation Committee, and a past Trustee of the Copyright Society of the USA.
