Jackson Walker is excited to announce that G. Scott Fiddler has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS) for a three-year term. His appointment was made by the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors, recognizing his commitment to excellence and leadership within Texas’s legal landscape.

Established in 1974 by the Supreme Court of Texas, the TBLS is the only organization authorized to certify attorneys and paralegals in specialized areas of law in Texas. The Board Certification process is known for its rigorous process, requiring substantial, relevant experience, extensive continuing legal education, and the successful completion of a comprehensive examination. With more than 6,800 Board Certified attorneys holding over 7,770 Certificates of Special Competence, the TBLS is the largest and most successful legal board certification program in the nation.

In his capacity as a board member, Scott will help guide the TBLS in its ongoing mission to serve the public interest and uphold the standards of legal specialization in Texas. His appointment underscores his standing as a leader in the legal community and his dedication to fostering excellence within the profession.

Meet Scott

Scott Fiddler is board certified in both labor & employment law and civil trial law, placing him among only approximately 25 attorneys in Texas board certified in both specialties. As lead trial attorney, Scott has tried nearly 60 cases to verdict, including 40 jury trials and nearly 20 arbitrations and bench trials. Scott’s resume is one of impressive wins in jury trials and published cases. He has obtained jury verdicts for clients in FLSA wage and hour cases, non-compete and misappropriation of trade secret cases, discrimination, executive termination, and sexual harassment cases. He has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer every year since 2007.
