Jackson Walker attorney Sean F. Gallagher has been invited to serve on the Strategic Advisory Council of Austin Monitor, a local not-for-profit, non-partisan news organization focused solely on issues important to Austin.

First formed in 2021, the Monitor’s Strategic Advisory Council helps to advance the mission of the organization, analyzes emerging reader and community engagement trends, and makes recommendations on how the Monitor could leverage these trends for stories that Austinites care about.

“I’m looking forward to helping raise awareness about local issues that impact our community and about the Austin Monitor as a news source,” said Sean. “Austin is undergoing a lot of change right now. I think the Monitor’s focus on local news—and the fact that they are non-profit and non-partisan—provides a vital service to the community.”

Sean is a business trial lawyer who represents clients in a broad array of complex issues, including First Amendment litigation, fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, director and officer liability, Lanham Act claims, civil rights claims, and whistleblower litigation.
