Bryan Birkeland Represents Jackson Walker at Globalaw European Regional Meeting

Since our founding in 1887, Jackson Walker has grown to become the largest law firm in Texas while serving clients across the United States and more than 85 international jurisdictions. As a founding member of Globalaw™, a worldwide network of independent law firms, we have expanded our global reach through collaboration with 76 law firms in 58 countries to tap into local connections in support our clients’ international matters.

Jackson Walker has maintained a steady presence in Globalaw under the leadership of Dallas partner Bryan C. Birkeland, past president of Globalaw and member of its executive committee. In 2014, Jackson Walker was named “Firm of the Year for the Americas” by Globalaw and hosted the organization’s first-ever Managing Partner Forum, which drew managing partners from a number of states in the U.S. and provinces in Canada. Also, in 2018, our Dallas office hosted the Globalaw Annual Members Meeting (GLAMM), a four-day event that saw an attendance of nearly 100 law firms, including over 85 international firms.

Recently, Bryan Birkeland represented Jackson Walker at the Globalaw EMEA regional meeting held May 19-21, 2022, in Luxembourg. During the meeting, Bryan met with fellow participants from member firms to discuss business development initiatives within the network.

“For the past 28 years, we have proudly invested in and helped expand the Globalaw network so that our Firm and other law firms from around the world can collaborate and grow together,” Bryan said.

Bryan has been instrumental to the Firm’s involvement with Globalaw as a founding member of the organization. Since Globalaw’s inception in 1994, he has served as president, vice president, a member of the executive committee, and chairman of the membership and nominating committees. In his practice at Jackson Walker, Bryan focuses on real estate, international, and energy matters, particularly related to U.S. inbound and outbound investments. Bryan’s engagement by Texas, national, and international clients has spanned development, redevelopment, purchases, and sales of various real estate and energy product types, and voluntary and involuntary restructuring and rearrangement of distressed assets. Engagements have related to assets throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
