We are pleased to welcome Mario Perez Dolan as a partner in our Dallas office.

Mario is the newest member of our Corporate and Securities Section. Over the past 10 years, Mario has represented both public and private companies in a broad array of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities matters, financing transactions, joint ventures, corporate governance, and general corporate matters. He is particularly experienced in mergers and acquisitions and has represented both sides of the table in negotiated transactions across several industries. In addition to M&A work, he is well-versed in securities matters such as fund formation, venture capital financings, SEC reporting, private offerings, and general compliance. His clients particularly appreciate his knowledge and advice regarding joint ventures and other formation matters.

Mario joins a dynamic team of Corporate and Securities lawyers who are known not only for closing challenging and sophisticated deals but for providing pragmatic solutions to the legal issues that face companies from start up to wind down and every step in between. Mario is one of several strong lateral partners who has made the move to Jackson Walker in the past few years as a result of the firm’s unique Texas-friendly culture and its continued growth and success.

Mario is exactly the kind of young lawyer we pride ourselves on attracting. He is well respected by his peers, sought after by clients, and is an excellent addition to our growing Corporate and Securities practice group,” said Rick Dahlson, head of Jackson Walker’s Corporate and Securities group.

Prior to joining Jackson Walker, Mario was a partner at Wick Phillips and an associate with Baker Botts LLP. He graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in politics and religion and went on to receive his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2006. Mario is quite active with both the Alumni Association of Princeton University and the Dallas Bar Association. He is a member of both the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association and even finds time to help strengthen Texas communities by providing pro-bono services to nonprofits and small businesses through the Texas C-Bar.

I was attracted to Jackson Walker because of the variety and depth of strong lawyers and resources that will allow me to provide our clients first class legal services. I look forward to becoming an integral part of the fantastic team of lawyers at Jackson Walker and am excited about the opportunity to work with such a wide variety of well-respected practice groups, such as Energy, Real Estate, and Fund Formation.

With over 70 attorneys in the Corporate and Securities group alone, Jackson Walker has the experience and knowledge necessary to assist our clients with virtually any type of corporate transaction. From counseling startups and forming investment funds to negotiating M&A transactions and conducting public and private offerings, our attorneys handle complex corporate matters of all sizes across countless jurisdictions.
