Jackson Walker Joins Forces with Globalaw Partner to Help an Australian Client Invest in Poland
When one of Australia’s largest funds managers desired to invest in an indirect minority stake in a large Polish collections group, having someone on the ground in Poland streamlined JW’s ability to serve the client seamlessly and with the local experience and insights only someone in the country would have. For that JW turned to Globalaw member, DeBenedetti Majewski Szcześniak. The response was immediate in a time sensitive environment and insightful by including local intel on not only the legal issues but the local market in the target’s industry.
The JW team was led by Stephanie Chandler of the JW San Antonio office and Jane Magnuson of the JW Austin office, and David DeBenedetti and Michał Szpakowski from DMS Warsaw provided local counsel.
Stephanie believes strongly in partnering with her clients, helping them build their businesses. Her track record of working with clients from the earliest stages of their development through significant liquidity events, typically in the role of outside general counsel managing the legal issues related to each growth stage, allows her to bring a uniquely broad-based perspective to the matters she handles.
