The transaction closed on Monday, August 1. Infor is one of the largest suppliers of cloud-based “enterprise resource planning” software, and hopes to bolster their new CloudSuite Retail platform with Starmount technology.

Founded in 2006 by Joe Halloum, Starmount makes point-of-sale, mobile shopping and store inventory management software, making it easier for salespeople to process transactions while interacting with customers. With 90 employees in Austin, Infor plans to expand the Austin workforce. Starmount is fast-growing and recently reported that it had 42 percent year-over-year growth in sales revenue.
