Jackson Walker is pleased to announce the appointment of Julia W. Mann as managing partner of the San Antonio office. Julia is the first woman to hold that position since the office opened in 1991, and the second-ever woman to serve as an office managing partner in the Firm’s 132-year history.

In her new role as office managing partner, Julia aims to maintain an environment where service to clients is more than just excellent legal representation, but a true collaboration based upon an understanding of objectives, expectations, and values – delivered with the highest standard of professional integrity.

As an experienced litigator, Julia Mann helps clients solve their problems in crisis situations. Whether it is a dispute with a customer, a supplier, an employee or even their own business partner, Julia utilizes her knowledge of the client’s industry combined with the avenues for dispute resolution to reach an outcome consistent with the client’s business goals. Representing clients on both sides of the docket, she has appeared in matters in 40 counties across Texas and Oklahoma. With the experience she has acquired, she earned her place as chair of the litigation practice in San Antonio in 2013, a position she will hold for the remainder of the year.
Outside her practice, Julia continues to build relationships within the legal community through mentoring current and future practitioners as a member of the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association and the William S. Sessions American Inn of Court.

In 2014, Julia and fellow partners Stephanie L. Chandler and Lauren Sracic Ciminello were awarded the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce’s ATHENA Organizational Leadership Award, which honors women leaders and organizations that encourage women to achieve their full potential. In recognition of her work in litigation and energy, she has been recognized consistently by The Best Lawyers in America since 2018, Super Lawyers since 2012, and San Antonio Scene since 2017, and Who’s Who in Energy for 2012-2015. In 2013, Julia was selected to the San Antonio Business Journal “Outstanding Lawyer” list in the category of Litigation.
She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from St. Mary’s University School of Law. She currently serves as President of the William S. Sessions American Inn of Court and is a member of the Nominating Committee for the San Antonio Bar Association. She is also a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and the San Antonio Bar Foundation.
