October 4, 2019 | Speaking Engagements

During a daylong summit exploring career obstacles, risks, and rewards for women attorneys, Jackson Walker partner Monica Messick will join a panel discussion to share firsthand experience as a mentor within her firm and as the former coordinator of the mentoring program of the Women’s Energy Network North Texas Chapter. Hosted on October 16, 2019, at The Statler Dallas, The Women in Law & Leadership Summit will feature more than 50 speakers discussing gender equity, career management, diversity, and balancing professional success and personal fulfillment.

Entitled “Mentor and Sponsorship: Creating Growth in Your Organization,” the panel will examine what a good mentorship program looks like, the difference between mentorship and sponsorship, taking full advantage of mentorship, and being a good mentor. In addition to Monica, panel speakers include:

  • Karen Crawford, Chief Legal Officer, Pacific Union Financial, LLC
  • Carista Ragan Hill, General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer, StackPath
  • Nicole Figueroa, Partner, McDermott Will & Emery
  • Beverly Bond, Partner, Gordon Rees Scully Mansuhkani, LLP
  • Zandra Robinson, Counsel, PepsiCo

“Having spearheaded the WEN North Texas Mentoring Program in 2018, I look forward to sharing the insights I have learned from that experience as well as from mentoring associates and clerks at Jackson Walker,” Monica said.

Jackson Walker is proud to serve as a sponsor of the Summit.
