Michelle Moore Smith Named Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers

Jackson Walker proudly congratulates Michelle Moore Smith on being named a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL). Admission to ACREL is by invitation only and follows a rigorous screening process that recognizes preeminent commercial real estate lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional legal ability, extensive experience, and the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct.

Founded in 1978, the American College of Real Estate Lawyers is the nation’s premier association of commercial real estate attorneys and is dedicated to serving clients, colleagues, and the profession. Membership is limited to distinguished lawyers recognized for their contributions to the practice of real estate law. Fellows of the College help advance the field through educational initiatives, law reform efforts, and programs designed to improve real estate law and practice.

With her election to ACREL, Michelle joins Jackson Walker partners Thad Armstrong, Vytas A. Petrulis, Kurt D. Nondorf, and Lewis S. Kasner as Fellows of the College.

Meet Michelle

Michelle Moore Smith handles complex real estate transactions for investors, private equity funds, financial institutions, and borrowers, guiding clients through acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, and management of office buildings, shopping centers, condominium projects, and unimproved land. Her deep experience in office, industrial, and retail leasing makes her well suited for counseling landlords and tenants in negotiating leases, amendments, subleases, and related documents.
