Carlos Treviño Elected Council Member of the State Bar of Texas International Law Section

Jackson Walker partner Carlos Treviño has been elected a council member of the International Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.

The International Law Section was created to develop the practice of international law in Texas, bring international perspective to the State Bar, and to provide ILS members with networking and educational opportunities.

Meet Carlos

Carlos R. Treviño focuses his practice on domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and general corporate matters. Prior to Jackson Walker, Carlos served as senior in-house counsel for a large multinational company based in Monterrey, Mexico. While at this company, he acted as lead counsel in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures in Latin America, and also negotiated domestic and international contracts. Carlos also previously practiced at a large law firm based in Mexico City.

Outside of his practice, he is an adjunct professor at the University of Texas School of Law. Carlos is a Past Chair of the International Section of the Austin Bar Association.
