Wood as partners in the Fort Worth office, along with new associates Taylor Cummins, Kayla Matus, and Nathan McCune. Joining our Chambers-ranked Corporate & Securities practice, Evan and Chelsea and their team will expand the Firm’s experience handling mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance matters, and capital markets transactions.

Evan Malloy assists public and private companies in negotiating mergers and acquisitions and joint venture transactions throughout the U.S. and Canada. He also regularly advises clients on financial reporting, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission compliance, and corporate governance matters. For issuers and investors engaging in capital markets transactions, Evan offers experience with public offerings and private placements of debt and equity securities.

In addition, he has been selected as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, an honor bestowed upon only one-third of 1% of State Bar of Texas members each year.
Outside of his practice, Evan served in 2018 and 2019 as an adjunct professor at the Texas A&M University School of Law, where he taught a course entitled “Entrepreneurship and the Law.”
He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Trinity University and his J.D., summa cum laude, from Texas Tech University School of Law.
Chelsea Wood partners with public and private companies to handle a variety of corporate and securities matters. Her practice primarily focuses on mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, corporate reorganizations, spin-offs, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and controlled auctions. Chelsea also advises clients in matters involving entity formation and structure, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission compliance, and general corporate governance.
On her decision to join Jackson Walker, Chelsea said, “I’m excited to be joining a team with the depth of experience and the resources of Jackson Walker, and I look forward to growing my practice as part of such a strong corporate and mergers and acquisitions group.”
Chelsea is regularly recognized by 360 West and Fort Worth Magazine on their “Top Attorneys” lists in the areas of corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. She is also a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
Outside of her practice, Chelsea is a member of Junior League of Fort Worth, the Tarrant County Bar Association, and the Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association.
She received her B.A., cum laude, from The University of Texas at Austin and her J.D. from Baylor Law School.

Taylor focuses on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate finance, for which she has been recognized as a “Top Attorney” in 360 West in 2021. She previously interned for the Honorable Robert A. Junell of the Western District of Texas. Taylor received her B.B.A. from Texas Tech University and her J.D. from Texas A&M University School of Law.
Kayla’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, securities law, and corporate finance. She has been named among Thomson Reuters’ Super Lawyers – Rising Stars and a “Top Attorney” in 360 West and Fort Worth Magazine. Kayla received her B.S. from Sam Houston State University and her J.D. from Texas Tech School of Law.
Nathan’s practice concentrates on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity, restructuring, and general transactions. He also offers experienced counsel related to securities regulation and corporate governance matters, including periodic reporting and disclosures. He has been named a “Top Attorney” in the areas of Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions by 360 West since 2017 and a “Top Attorney” by Fort Worth Magazine in 2020. Nathan previously served as a judicial clerk in the Northern District of Texas and as an investigator in the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office. He received his B.A. from Midwestern State University and his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law.
