Biography
Claire Zurovec is an associate in the Corporate & Securities practice of Jackson Walker’s Austin office. Claire’s practice spans the investment funds and private equity space, including fund formation, secondary transactions, and institutional investor representation. She advises fund sponsors, real estate investment managers, and institutional investors on the structuring, formation, and offering of private investment funds, as well as side letter negotiations. Claire also represents buyers and sellers in high-volume secondary transactions, including LP interest transfers and related liquidity transactions, managing multiple concurrent deal workstreams from initial due diligence through closing. Her experience includes advising on fund formations, regulatory matters, and general corporate transactions arising in connection with fund operations and portfolio-level activity.
On the investor side, Claire represents institutional investors around the world with respect to alternative asset investments (e.g., “private markets” strategies such as private equity funds, real estate funds, infrastructure funds, and credit funds, as well as “public markets” strategies such as hedge funds, long-only funds, collective investment trusts, and separately managed accounts).
Claire also advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and a broad range of general corporate matters.
Claire received her B.A. in Rhetoric & Writing and History, with highest honors, from The University of Texas at Austin, and her J.D. summa cum laude, from Baylor University School of Law. She has been named among the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.
