Jackson Walker partner Kathleen Tanner Beduze and senior counsel Jocelyn Slater will be featured presenters at the 26th Annual Advanced Elder Law & Advanced Guardianship Law Courses. This event, organized by TexasBarCLE, is scheduled for April 16-17, 2026 at the Westin Dallas Park Central in Dallas, Texas.

Kathleen will be leading the “Elder Exploitation” session of the Advanced Elder Law course on April 16th, and Jocelyn will be presenting a roundtable discussion entitled “Review of Procedures Before the Final Hearing for a Guardianship” session of the Advanced Guardianship Law course on April 17th. Both Kathleen and Jocelyn serve on the planning committee for the TexasBarCLE.

Meet Kathleen

Kathleen Tanner Beduze concentrates her practice on the areas of fiduciary litigation, trust disputes, guardianship, and estate and probate-related administration. She offers experienced counsel handling prosecution and defense of fiduciary claims, will contests, accounting and administration issues, contested guardianships, and interpretation and modifications of trusts. Since 2019, Kathleen has contributed to the Texas Guardianship Manual and is a former contributing author of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Reporter. Jocelyn Thibodaux Slater is a certified guardianship attorney by the State Bar of Texas and focuses her practice on probate, guardianship, trust, and fiduciary litigation, and probate and trust administrations. She also assists with corporate formations, governance, and fiduciary responsibilities. Jocelyn has been named among the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch since 2021 in the area of Litigation – Commercial Litigation.
