Caroline Capili and Carter Dickson Selected as Delegates to the Assembly of the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division

Jackson Walker proudly congratulates Caroline Capili and Carter Dickson on their selection by the Houston Young Lawyers Association (HYLA) to serve as Delegates to the Assembly of the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division (ABA YLD). The Assembly is the ABA YLD’s highest policy-making body.

Following the Assembly’s annual meeting, Carter was appointed as a YLD liaison to the ABA’s Business Law Section for the 2024-2025 bar year. In this role, Carter will collaborate with and exchange information among the Business Law Section’s global network of over 30,000 business law professionals, who practice in every area of business law.

The ABA YLD is committed to equipping young lawyers and young lawyer organizations with the resources and opportunities necessary for both professional and personal success. The Division emphasizes professional development, leadership, policy advancement, and service, all while maintaining a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in every aspect of its work.

Meet Caroline

Caroline Capili is an attorney in the Real Estate practice of Jackson Walker’s Houston office. Caroline advises and represents buyers and sellers, developers, landlords, and tenants in all facets of their commercial real estate, including the acquisition, disposition, development, and leasing of multifamily complexes, office and retail space, and undeveloped property. In recognition of her practice, Caroline has been named “Ones to Watch” in the area of Real Estate Law by The Best Lawyers in America.

Meet Carter

Carter Dickson is a litigator who represents energy and commercial clients in state and federal courts in both trials and appeals. Carter also has experience in complex litigation, defending clients in class action and multi-district litigation. He obtained his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and both his J.D. and LL.M. from the University of Houston Law Center, with a specialization in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law.
